So we have been in Uganda for a little over a week and it
has been such a blessing. We are working with Joseph and Frida at Christ
Ambassadors Church in Mukono, Uganda. We also have been working at the school
the church runs called Champions Christian Primary School.
Never in my life did I think I would be teaching science to
over 40 students in the middle of Uganda but I am. It is amazing how God works.
The students are such a blessing and full of joy. They call me “Auntie” and I
am greeted with hugs every morning I arrive at school. What a great way to
start out the day.
God has been teaching me so much this month already. He has
been teaching me how to patiently wait on Him. Although I am doing amazing
ministry and working with amazing people the thought of, “What the heck am I
going to do when I get home?” continues to creep into my mind. I think about
needing to figure out where I am going to live, applying for jobs, and little
things like selling my car. All these things I have realized that I need to
give to the Lord and know that He is going to work everything out. I don’t have
to be anxious about anything. I don’t have to worry because worrying doesn’t do
any good. I need to just trust and patiently wait on the Lord. I need to wait
and know that He has it all figured out. I have realized that this is the part
of my life that I struggle with so much. I love to figure everything out on my
own and have control over these aspects of my life. I have to start realizing
that I don’t have any control over them and to just give it all to the Lord. He
will guide me and show me where I need to live and open doors to what job He
wants me to have.

So ministry in Uganda has been amazing. I can’t believe it
is month 7! Oh another amazing part of Uganda is our entire squad it going
white water rafting on class 5 rapids on the Nile river next Saturday. Pray
that I don’t freak out too much when I fly out of the boat because it will
happen.
