So i wanted to write a short blog letting you all know what we have been doing since transitioning to Rwanda.
(Kigali is like a bowl. so this is looking into part of the bowl.)
After a 28 hour bus ride from Kenya we arrived in Rwanda. One thing that was so unexpected was the beauty and the cleanliness of this country. They take pride in how their cities look. We then met up with our contact, Pastor Rose. She has a small church called Golgotha Victory Church in the suburbs of Kigali. The church consists of about 15 consistent members but they are all filled with the joy of the Spirit.
We began our time on Sunday, Feb. 6, by preaching at church. This past week we have visited the hospital to pray for people, have gone door to door evangelizing, and have had many opportunities to preach. Next weed we will be starting a seminar on the Fruits of the Spirit and will continue to go door to door.
It has been a hard transition from Kenya but we are starting to settle in here. The city is very nice and we all feel very safe here. We have been learning a lot about the history of the country and will visit the genocide sites on Tuesday. One thing that is very true here is the emphasis on “One Rwanda.” After the genocide in 1994 the nation has come together to be united instead of being split. There is so much development going on here it is amazing to see.
So that is what my team is up to right now. Continue to pray for us that God would give us His words to share with the people in the church next week in our seminar.
