So this week started out on an interesting foot. As we sat
in the room after a day of evangelism we got a call from another team that is
also staying in Mukono. The girl on the phone just said, “We need your help. We
trying to cast out nine demons at a secondary school can you get here?

So after the initial shock of the call we all began to talk
to each other to figure out if this is something that we wanted to get involved
with. We all prayed about it and felt that we should go. Even if we went simply
to pray for the other team that would be enough. So we called our pastor to
tell him the situation and that we needed to leave as soon as possible. By the
time we left the house it was already 8:45pm.

As we all sat in the van with Pastor Joseph, his wife Frida,
and Pastor David, Frida said something I will not forget. She said, “The demons
know we are on our way and they are scared. I didn’t really think about this
until later when one of the girls on the other team told me that before we got
there the demon she was wrestling said to her, “Why do you need your friends?
They can’t help you. Why did you call them? The girl didn’t even know we were
coming.

So as we pulled into the gate we felt a little like the
ghost busters in our blue school bus being called in to cast away all the nasty
demons in the school.

As we walked into the room where everyone was it was a site
like none I had ever seen before. The demons has manifested into nine young
girls between the ages of 13 and 15. The girls were sprawled out on the floor
with world racers sitting on top of them to hold them down or holding there
heads to call the demons out of them. As we walked in one of the demons
screamed at us, “I hate them! We hadn’t even done anything yet.

At first I was very hesitant to do anything. I just stood
there trying to figure out what the heck I was supposed to do. So I just
started praying. I prayed for the world racers that had been battling these
demons for five hours already, I prayed for our pastors, I prayed for our
families, and I prayed for the girls that were possessed, and  I prayed that the demons would be cast out and
that the authority of the Lord would fill the room.

We were there for about 3 hours screaming at demons to
leave, singing worship songs, telling the demons that they had no authority in
that place, praying, sitting on top of the demons to keep them from thrashing
all over the room, looking the demons in the eyes and telling them that they
had lost the battle and that Jesus had won, telling the demons that they would
not kill the girls they had possessed because she was protected by Jesus, and
lastly praising the Lord when the demons left.

It was interesting to see when a girl was released from the
demon that it was like a light switch got flipped on. She was lucid and knew
who she was again. She didn’t have the evil in her eyes anymore or the desire
to hurt us anymore. She was able to smile again and even give praise to the
Lord.

This was an experience that I will never forget and
something that has challenged my faith so much this week. It has been an
experience that has made me grow in my faith so much this week and I thank God
for that. I thank the Lord for making me realized that I have authority in my
voice and he has put his power behind my voice. I praise the Lord for his
protection as we battled these demons and praise Him because we know that there
is truly power in the name of Jesus. Amen!

Please continue to pray for Africa. The devil has a hold on this place so pray that the Lord will continue to bring people here to break that hold. Pray for the girls that are battling demons in their life everyday. Pray for the authority of the Lord to fill this place.
