Hey everybody,

Welcome to my blog! To open up the discussion, I’d like to introduce myself and explain why I have been called to the mission field. My name is Chance Minges and I am currently a junior at The University of Michigan. I am studying actuarial mathematics and economics with the intent of being an actuary someday. (For more info on actuaries see Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly.) My interest include sports, math, country music, and superhero movies. I grew up on a farm in Liberty, Indiana with my dad, Gary; mom, Stacey; and brother, Clark. I graduated from Union County High School in 2012. Since then, I have lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan while attending college.

At Michigan, I attend New Life Church where I had the opportunity to go to El Salvador on a mission trip. There, my team met a group of people in a program called The World Race. They were going to 11 countries in 11 months! That sounded like the adventure of a lifetime. When I got back to The States I researched the program and the rest is history. I am now 3 months away from my own world race.

As I embark on this adventure, I am looking for God to continue to do some BIG things in my life! Through this trip I hope to help others see the love of Christ while growing into a deeper relationship with Him myself. Finally, I hope to be able to share this experience with you as well. That’s one of the greatest strengths of the church. It’s a community where we can encourage one another by sharing the wondrous experiences of our walks with the Lord. I thank you greatly for your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for me.

One thing is for sure,

This trip will be Legen… wait for it…
