I want to use this blog post to tell you all about how I knew the Lord was calling me to go specifically on this world race trip. So as most of you know I loooove India and have been there on mission twice before. So, I had heard about the World Race 11 in 11 trip where they go to 11 countries in 11 months which I really would love to do. However, I am in school so there is no way that’d happen right now. Intrigued, I kept looking and saw they had a one month trip and that one of them was to INDIA!!! Excited, I prayed about it and asked that if the Lord wanted me to go on this trip that He would show me very plainly. So I prayed that day I looked on there website and randomly sometimes after that. And then about a few weeks later I am laying in bed praying one morning, before I got up and I just asked the Lord again that if He wanted me on this trip that He would show me. Once I finished praying I got up out of bed and went into my living room where my mom was watching some sermon on TV…and to my disbelief the show cuts to a segment on India! The segment starts with videos of India with the pastor speaking in the background about how India has one of the largest populations in the world and less than 1% are evangelical Christians. He also goes on to say, “India desperately needs the Gospel”. Towards the end of this segment it shows him preaching at a church in India. Dumbfounded, I applied for the trip and here we are! Disclaimer: the Lord does not always speak clearly to us like this, so please do not read this and believe the lie that the Lord doesn’t speak to you. One of three things could be a possible reason that the Lord hasn’t done something super obvious like this for you: 1. He is speaking to you in other ways in which you should ask Him to open your eyes to the ways in which He is speaking to you, 2. He possibly is being silent in this season of your life, forcing you to rely on and trust in the things He has already spoken to you individually and forcing you to trust in the words He has spoken to us through His Word, the Bible, or 3. you haven’t asked (James 4:2&3)
