After 50 hours in a train we have arrived to Bucharest,
Romania and have reached our new location Casa Shalom (http://www.casa-shalom-family.org/)!

The train ride was
interesting…it felt like a sauna and all the windows didn’t open, but was a great time
to read and reflect on the first month. It was sad to say goodbye to Ukraine,
but we look forward to new opportunities over the next month.

Our new location is quite literally a Ritz Carlton when
compared to camp in the Ukraine. Amenities include: separate dorm style rooms,
beds, indoor showers, bathing water not
from the river, hot water, electricity, wireless internet, real toilets that
can be flushed…. And from what we’ve heard the people are great too. Unlike the
last location (where we were the only team represented from our squad at the
camp) we are fortunate to share these grounds with 2 other teams from our squad
that departed together in June. So we will have a little over 25 Americans here
working with the locals.

**I apologize for the previous problems with the blog posts,
these have been fixed to include the actual text (now that we actually have functioning internet) and I
have added some pictures (more to come too!) as a penance. So check out the
blogs, updated pictures, and I’ll be sure to share more about what’s to come to
Romania shortly.**
