The World Race is a trip designed specifically for college graduates and young professionals ages 21-35 who are discovering a deep need within themselves to see the world as it is and begin an adventure of faith, passion, and ministry. It is a chance to experience eleven different countries in eleven months, while planting and strengthening churches around the world through the power of prayer support from sending churches.
We believe that any ministry endeavor is doomed for failure unless it has the extended covering of prayer support. Our teams meet incredible challenges during their ministry journey and need the prayer covering of God’s people. That’s why we need you!
It is our endeavor to see a number of churches partner with these young missionaries in the field by supporting them with their continual prayers. We are asking churches and ministries like yours to adopt a team and make a commitment to pray for them throughout the upcoming year.
We have developed a method for the World Race teams to communicate with their prayer supporters by posting a video blog updating their progress and challenges. (For a sample report video, click here: http://vimeo.com/321073)
These videos can be uploaded and shown to a church congregation, Sunday school class,student ministry, or small group. We have done this so that the people praying for an adopted World Race team can gain a better understanding of the challenges the team is facing, share in the joy of the team’s ministry successes, and pray intelligently about specific needs.
