In repentance and rest is your salvation; in quietness and confidence is your strength.”  Isaiah 30:15.

I truly believe one of my life messages is the Fear of the Lord.  So why can’t I get off this subject? I guess He has more to teach me.  So what is another key factor of the Fear of the Lord?

Every man, woman and child is born into bondage.  There is nothing we can do on our own strength.  The Love of the Father is the only thing that can save our souls from utter destruction.  Through a release and a trust in Jesus Christ we invite Him into our lives to take authority and place as our Father. Our journey then begins!

The journey is one filled with challenges, hurdles, mountain tops, valleys and love.  Our Father will never leave us nor forsake us. Our ability sits in revering the Father and trusting in where he is leading us.  So how do we trust him, how do we fear him; the answer is rest.

Rest is the place where we have fully surrendered. How many times have we felt things go drastically out of control and we panic?  Peter got out of the boat and walked on water, he was completely in rest and trusting in the Lord.  When he saw the worries of life in the form of wind and waves he panicked and fell out of the rest of the Lord.  He went into his own strength and began to sink.

That picture is all of us at some point in our life. I don’t care how holy you are, there is still a sanctification going on in you that will challenge the rest that you have in the Lord.  Will we pass the test? Will we panic and take it upon ourselves to fix the situation?  Do you trust that God is in control or is the devil in control of your life?

With today’s economy fear has taken over.  People are bailing out of the stock market, some are taking their lives, some can’t sleep at night; WHY?  The only reason is because they are not resting in the Lord.  The Lord’s Word is truth; the Lords Word is real and alive today.  The Spirit is saying to the people, he who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying (Revelation 3:22).  Rest in the Lord!

I pray that we would receive the revelation of rest.  I pray that we would release control of our hearts and sit in His Holy Presence.  I pray that we would allow him to strengthen our hearts so that we will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes again.  God Bless you on this very hopeful day!
