Stepping in and out of ministries is sometimes really hard to grasp as a world racer. Each time that you pick up and leave a home and go to another, you need to try and download everything fast because you are about to step into another world with completely different people and objectives. This is exactly what happened stepping out of Costa Rica and back into Nicaragua.
We (Chris T., Erin & Jenny and I) sat on a boat ride heading to the Island of Ometepe to meet up with team Zeo. It was time to join with the third group and partner along side their ministry. I actually didn’t really take in that we were heading to an island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua until we were half way into the lake.
I sat looking off into the distance at Volcanoes Conception (active) and Maderas absolutely praising Jesus Christ. What another beautiful place that my Father in heaven was taking me to. What a life that I live. Thank you Jesus!
Waiting for us at the port was our contact named Helen who runs an orphanage by the name of Cicrin (Centro Infintos Cristiano Nicaraguense). Helen had traveled to the island some 16 years ago on a short term trip and the Lord broke her heart. She has never looked back and has been sharing the Love of Jesus Christ ever since to these precious little children.
Team Zeo has been on the island for nearly two weeks. They have been helping Helen with the 27 children in various ways. Helen and the orphanage are also linked with a church by the name of Centro Cristiano de Ometepe. This church is on fire for Christ and has a little over a hundred and fifty members. Zeo has partnered with the orphanage and the church to edify and serve where ever need be.
I am so excited to be on the island and assist with both ministries because I can feel the presence of the Lord through every single person. The ministries are very affective and most of all we get to love on Gods precious little children.
To my family, supporters and friends, I love and miss you so much. This life could not have been lived without you.
