One year ago a young man of the age of twenty six years old prepared to embark on a journey that he could only dream of. A journey that would take eleven months traveling to over twenty four different countries around the world. He didn’t know what would happen, or where the trip would leave him, all that he knew was that the Lord had called him on that trip.
Forwarding to today, that same man is me. I have completed the task that was set before me and my life will forever be different because of it. From the day that I applied for the World Race, I knew that I would not just be embarking on a one year journey. I knew that it was the beginning of my life. I saw a vision that was so big, that was so God inspired; I knew that I was supposed to be a part of it.
As I sit here in my parent’s house, I sit in awe at the life that the Lord has called me to. I get to go around the world for a second straight year sharing the thing that I love most in life and that is Jesus Christ. I get to read the bible day in and day out in different cultures, with different people and most of all I get to be surrounded by people that absolutely love Jesus Christ.
Coming back to the states has come and gone in a blink of an eye. I began with a family gathering of twenty-six on Thanksgiving where I then headed to Arizona for ten days to see supporters and friends. I ran from person to person, party to party making sure that I could get in as much time with the people that meant so much to me. I then headed back to San Diego to share quality time with my family and friends.
I have to say that I cannot believe how big of a peace God has given me for the trip that I am about to partake in. The Lord has so graciously given me a family that supports me, supporters that make this all possible and a prayer team that is enabling me to have the strength to push forward. To all my friends, supporters and family, I love you all so much.
To my immediate family I want you to know how happy I am in life. “For I know the plans that I have for your life… the plans to prosper you and not harm you, the plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. The Lord has me in His arms and is directing my every step. I am finding the true man that God has called me to become and am learning how to truly live the life that Jesus Christ wants me to live.
