“But be doers of the Word, not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22

We arrived in Dondo Mozambique to a welcoming party of about 32 orphans.

They screamed and shouted with joy as we unloaded our bags and they took them to our designated sleeping areas.

The thought in my mind was complete amazement.

My life has gone so fast over the last year and a half touching 36 countries and now back in Africa for the third time.

My heart is so thankful.

After getting situated and rested, I met with the base directors as to what we would be doing.

To our surprise there was an Iris missionary down from Pemba doing food outreaches.

Herb, who is only 20 year old, is originally from Brazil and now in charge of food distribution all over Mozambique.

Herb is a very focused and anointed brother who just so happened to have room for us on an outreach that he was about to take.

Herb normally fills 30 ton trucks full of food and goes to locations that are desperately in need of help.

Herb told us that Murumbala was his next location that he needed to get to because the people had been without food for almost two weeks now.

Murumbala is a city that sits near the Zambeze River where tremendous flooding has left over a hundred and fifty thousand people displaced.

The really sad part about this is that when the huge rains were going on the directors of the dam feeding the Zambeze River had to make one of the hardest decisions of their life.

The dam was cracking so they had to release the water which was certain death for thousands sitting on the banks of the river.

Thousands were killed and the survivors were left with nothing.

Murumbala is where we are heading.

I have felt in my spirit that the entire trip has been leading up to this point.

The point of complete and true reality.

The reality of people starving to death, left without nothing, dying with sickness and crying out for someone to

rescue them.

We could come in and just give food, clothing and smiles but tomorrow these people would still be starving and in need.

The difference between ourselves and humanitarian groups is that we bring eternal hope.

The hope that will save, that will heal, that will rescue, that will feed, that will bring love.

That hope is Jesus Christ.

Our ministry is going to look something like this over the next couple of weeks.

We will be taking four wheel vehicles to tribes that have lost every material thing in life.

They are starving to death and need help.

We are going to do everything we can to bring that need to them.

We will also be bringing the love that only Jesus Christ can bring.

We will be preaching from the tops of our trucks and will deliver the Gospel of Christ with all of our souls.

Herb has told us to get ready for miracles.

The Lord has touched thousands of lives and has shown how powerful He is.

I am open for whatever the Lord wants to bring and can’t wait to just hug and love on the families that have been through so much.

Please pray for the people of Mozambique.

God Bless.
