Hey y’all!
Just wanted to update you guys on my journey! I am currently sitting on a plane headed to Costa Rica. Man, God is good.
Reflecting is always a blessing because it allows us to remember what God has done. I think of when I was nervous to apply for this trip because I felt inadequate. I think of when I had no idea how I was going to raise $3,700 to fund my journey. I think of when I was scared that I wouldn’t make any real connections on this trip. I think of when I thought maybe this was a mistake.
But God.
But God showed me that He doesn’t call the equipped but equips the called.
But God was so faithful and moved the hearts of so many loved ones that helped fund my desire to go and love the people of Costa Rica.
But God gave me such an amazing team. I mean this with all my heart. God gave me 13 women that love the Lord and are ready to change the world. I’ve only spent 4 days with them and I already cherish them with all my heart.
But God taught me that His plans are bigger than my feelings.
These past four days we’ve been at training camp, getting ready for what’s ahead. I went through every emotion in the book. I was excited, scared, nervous, homesick, and frustrated. But the beauty of it is that God’s plans don’t change due to my emotions. He remains constant. He reminded me of His faithfulness, love, and purpose through all the various sessions we went through. I learned so much and for anyone reading, ask me about it, i’d love to share in person. I just want to thank everyone. Thank you for the support, prayers, hugs, and words of encouragement. I am here sitting on this plane because of people like you.
