Welcome!

My hope is that this blog will keep you up to date with the journey that God currently has me on and that He speaks through me and the experiences that I will be sharing with you via this platform. Thank you for joining me, please leave comments below, and without further ado, let me share with you about Why I am going on the world race 2021 Unscripted route.

The Call

Having interests in growing with the Lord and alongside others, missions, serving, and travelling the world, I thought the world race would be a good opportunity for me. To be honest, I was hesitant to go on a trip for 11 months travelling to 11 countries with a group of complete strangers, but God has been preparing me the past 6 years for this new adventure. He has been faithful in filling my life with many beautiful people who have come along side and taught me many things about myself as well as the world and now I can say with confidence that this is what God is calling me to do.

The question of, “how do you hear the voice of God and distinguish it from what you want to do?” is one that my sister recently asked me. Personally, I hear God’s voice best when I invest time in our relationship, which includes reading, and writing to Him in the Bible, journals, and devotionals. This question also reminded me of a crucial time in my life when a mentor and dear friend, shared with me, “God leads with peace.” These words have rung true for me in the past when making big life decisions and my prayer is that God would continue to lead us both with His peace, presence, and gentle whispers.

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

“Then the LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Behold, the LORD is about to pass by.” And a great and mighty wind tore into the mountains and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a still small voice.”  1 Kings 19:11-12

The Vessel

As some of you may know, this past year, I was extremely fortunate to travel, visiting close friends and family in Europe and adventuring into a new part of the world for me, Asia. The new and old relationships I was able to build and rekindle were beautiful and as I was journaling I began to recognize a new relationship becoming stronger and more vibrant in my life. God has been wooing me into deeper relationship with Him the past 9 months and has made it clear to me that as He is pouring into me He is crafting me into His vessel, to pour out His blessings, love, and truth to all those I encounter.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”  Isaiah 43:19

“But now, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, you are the potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” Isaiah 64:8

The Path

This past season of travelling brought with it many new experiences, vistas, hardships, as well as joy’s. Now, taking time to reflect on the trip I am able to see a pattern emerge from some of the photos I took.

My expectation is that these images give you a small taste of the extraordinary scenery that I was able to breathe in and capture; this is merely the tip of the iceberg. To me, these paths exemplify God’s stunning creations, all around us as well as the choices He gives us to create our own path. The unscripted route that my team and I will be venturing to do includes serving in Malaysia ->Thailand -> Myanmar -> South Asia -> Nepal -> Bulgaria -> Ukraine -> Spain -> Argentina -> Uruguay -> Chile. My prayer is that we would all take time to continually ask God to reveal Himself to us and to have the courage to follow the paths that He is nudging us toward, pursuing Him one step at a time.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8

“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” Psalm 24:4-5

The future is a pure, untainted template gifted to us by our creator to design and dream alongside Him.

How will you paint the canvas He has gifted to you?

In peace,

Celia Elizabeth
