Happy new year 2021!
I can hardly believe that I am leaving for the world race in a week from today. The anticipation has been welling up inside of me for months now. I’ve been packing and repacking, trying to be minimal but I know I’m overpacking…
There are so many unknowns in this new season we are all entering. My mom challenged my family and I would like to challenge you, “what will you leave behind in 2020 as you grow and move forward in 2021?”
Many thoughts come rushing in, as I think about what I’m leaving behind: fear, uncertainty, worry, selfishness, the list goes on and on. This question also made me begin to ponder what I will be attempting to acquire in this new year. The word that comes to my mind immediately is confidence. And so my prayer for this new year is to go out boldly, filled with confidence, peace, and the Joy.
“Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.”
2 Corinthians 3:4-5
