I am announcing that I will be leaving America in September! I will be gone for a year and will be going to 11 countries!
My "race" begins in September 2012. It is a journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve the "least of these." This mission work is through "The World Race." ( through Adventures in Missions)
My race will dates will be: September 2012-August 2013
Training camp dates: July 14-21, 2012

*WHAT DO WORLD RACERS DO?: Each day on the World Race will look a little different. Some days we will be building relationships with orphans; praying for the sick at hospitals; restoring churches; teaching English; feeding the hungry; & ministering to women & children who are trapped in forced prostitution & human sex trafficking.
Other days we will be prayer walking through communities; setting up camp; cooking for our team & other everyday necessities. Every day, will be focused on advancing God's kingdom no matter which avenue is taken.
Each World Race is p[riced according to the route cost of that race. My RACE will cost $15,500 for the entire 11 months.
During this past year, God has brought me to a new place in my walk with Him.
He has shown me His faithfulness by bringing me out of a difficult time in my life & calling me closer to Him. My trust in Him has grown & He has become my rock & fortress in the midst of what I call a wilderness.
He has shown His love by never turning His back on me, regardless of how far I strayed, while getting caught up in the hustle & bustle of life, striving toward the "American dream".
In the past couple months, God has been teaching me about running my own race,….my own, not my neighbors.
My goal in this is to bring restoration & hope among people in these nations. Through my blog, I want this journey to impact the people currently in my life as well, & that includes you!

As much as I hope to be doing for others, this journey will also impact my life in countless ways. This experience will increase my faith, teach me endurance & selflessness, facilitate discipleship, push me out of my comfort zone, & help me gain His perspective, in place of my own. I will be backpacking, & traveling by land, sea, & air to these countries. I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given to me. I need prayer support as well as financial.
