SO, what could have started all of this?
one word. well, ok…maybe not one word, but……God set my heart on fire! (6 words). November 2011 Pastor Michael Fletcher of Manna Church taught a sermon call "Run in such a way". This planted the seed.
My God grew it, and I began to grab a-hold to His promises, His vision for His people, & the motivation
to understand His heart and who He is. I want revolutionary love, He's got it, and it's mine to claim 🙂
God has been teaching me about running my own race…my own, not my neighbors.
My goal in this missions trip is to bring restoration and hope among people in these nations. Through my blog, I want this journey to impact the people currently in my life as well, and that includes you!
As much as I hope to be doing for others, this journey will also impact my life in countless ways. This experience will increase my faith, teach me endurance & selflessness, facilitate discipleship, push me out of my comfort zone, and help me to gain His perspective, in place of my own.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given to me!
God has done so much for me already this year. It is amazing how much He loves me (and you) Hebrews 12:1-2 has impacted me greatly.
He planted this seed, dumped water on it, and is now smiling as He watches it grow (& so am I).
I have begun to develop a heart for the nations, for the unreached people groups, and for The World Race. This is a period of time that will forever put a stamp on my life. God has been preparing my heart, among preparing me in other ways, to "GO!" He is planting people in my life that are most certainly being used by Him.
*Some ways He is preparing me:
A book called, "The power of a whisper [hearing God and having the guts to respond]" was dropped in my lap….
then my friend Amy called me and said God told her I was to be in her prophecy mentoring group for now.
This teaches how to relay what God's saying about someone TO that person, which is what the world race is about….ministry.
He is starting to work all things together for my good!
*Some ways He has already blessed me in preparation:
My family is on board 🙂
My parents are helping me make my fundraising/information pamphlet
He provided a lady who owns a web design studio & she edited my pamphlet for free!
He provided a printing company who was 1/16 the price of staples! (hallelujah!)
He's placed people in my life that have access to "supply" for military, so they can get me gear for wholesale price!
Before I even have my fundraising pamphlet out I have commitments to support me 🙂
I was nervous about being accepted in "the race" because I have hypoglycemia….
welp! no worries little sheep! the lady that interviewed me, who has also been on the race, had it too & reassured me!
plus, I got 3 free books about fundraising, culture shock, & leadership 🙂
God is constantly validating me, providing for me, and showing me who He really is.

Celeste has a certain tenacity about her that makes her ideally suited for a mission trip like the Worldrace. Her kind heart and willingness to help others is evidence of her personal growth and spiritual maturation process. Though Celeste is established in a career field, she is driven to do something of greater importance.
Not something for her "self" as in me, me, me…but for others, that they might find some comfort and hope in her outreach to them. God places in each of us callings to do certain things in life. The WorldRace is calling Celeste's name and talents, and she is willing to respond by saying "send me."-Dad
Celeste is real, nothing fake about this fun, loving, compassionate sweet heart. She is gorgeous on the inside and out. She has been through a lot, and has matured at a young age.
God has her heart and she has His. She is passionate about helping the helpless, and reaching the lost, hurt and lonely…..not to be their hero, but to point them to Jesus.

My sister means the world to me. I am impressed with the level of responsibility and discipline that she has possessed for so many years. Celeste works hard and puts 110% into what she does. She has sky rocketed toward God these last 4 months, and it has been a joy to see her grow. She has hidden wisdom and intelligence in her that has been showing itself more and more. Celeste is irreplaceable. Get to know her ladies! She might even give you tips on makeup and hairstyling!
