Hello fellow Love Revolutionaries!
My name is Cecily Mathis, I’m 22 years old, a love revolutionary, and a full time servant of God. I’m from Brinkley, Arkansas, that’s way down South in the delta and boasts a little over 4,000 people, but don’t believe it, Brinkley has 500 people tops lol. I currently live in Alexander, Arkansas, where nature is at its best. My favorite color is purple, which means royalty, because lets face it, I’m God’s little princess and Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. I also know He love me because of the the Cross and I was blessed with a free mini van, free tags and property tax, Holla! I’m into all kinds of music especially Maroon 5, Florence and The Machine, Foster the People, GroupLove, Kimbra, The Script, U2, and Coldplay, (to find out more, add me on facebook/cecilydmathis lol) I love movies, and reading awesome adventures filled with folklore, magic carpets, mysterious disappereances, and taking a stand against the Man, the devil that is. For money, I work at a daycare center with toddlers where I get lots of hugs, wet kisses, and pink eye. LOL! I do love my babies though. When I’m busy wasting time, a.k.a “free time”, I tweet and update my status on facebook with clever sayings, doctored photos, or images from google that make my life, or lack thereof, seem interesting. I was really like any other 22 year old trying to figure out what to do with my life, riding the seemingly never ending emotional rollercoaster, surfing the great ocean of meaningless 9 to 5 jobs, and living through celebrities whom I secretly wished to be. Typical, right? That all changed in 15 minutes during my commute to work. I was listening to the radio, switching to different stations, trying to find something to whip my hair back and forth to, and BOOM! I hear it. There’s some chick talking on the radio to the djs about going to 11 countries in 11 months on a mission for the Lord and the organization she’s going with! My first thought, “This girl is cray cray” Second thought, “Does she know how much she’s going to sacrifice to go on that missions trip?” Third thought, “What about God and His sacrifice? He sacrificed His only beloved Son to save me, a sinner, to have eternal life and communion with me, a sinner. Through His Son He made me rightous and holy like Him. The least I can do is google it, right?” So I research the organization and I pray. “Daddy, I know you have predestined me for greatness. Your word says that You know the plans You have for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. I’m going to apply to go on this mission and I’m trusting You to answer me with a “Yes” or “No” through my acceptance or rejection into the organization. Let Your will be done. I love You Father, In Jesus name.” A couple of weeks later I was informed that I’d been accepted to go with the World Race. Isn’t God amazing? Rhetorical question, of course He is! So now I’m well on my way to living a life worth remembering, one full of love and service. That’s me!
