Getting accepted into the world race was by far one of the most exciting moments of my life. It was a moment when I knew I was in God’s will, He had been preparing my heart for something like this and continued to open the doors along the way. I had no worries or fears getting accepted, I knew this is where I was meant to be, but then reality set in and the “fundraising” bomb got dropped.

Fundraising is not something I’ve had to do up until now, so learning that I was now going to have to raise over $12,000 to embark on this new journey was a enough freak me out at bit at first. How was I going to go about it? Would people even be interesting in helping? How will I meet all the deadlines? That’s when I realized that’s not what this is all about, it’s not about the money, God already has that for me, it is about trust and sharing my story. I’ve learned that God wont put you in a situation that He does not already have full control of and knows the outcome. For me, fundraising has become a lesson, a lesson of how much do I actually trust God? When the fear of my first May deadline coming up and my fundraising letters not even sent out yet, will I trust in Him? When I’m nervous about speaking in front of people or putting myself out there to share my story, will I believe in Him to give me the words to speak?

Nothing about The World Race and this experience is going to be easy, and that is becoming more and more apparent, that includes preparing myself up until my launch. That’s the beauty of this opportunity though, the opportunity to lie down all my fears, all my perceptions, and giving it all to Christ who is great and sovereign. So as I embark on my first time fundraising, and my first deadline of $6000 coming up in May, I give it all up to God and know he already has all the funds in place… I have to trust in him and follow what He is asking me to do.

I ask you all begin to pray and ask God how he can use you with partnering with me on this journey whether if be through a one time or monthly donation or as a prayer partner. Any type of support helps and means the world to me.

ALSO! I have started selling bracelets through Thread of Hope and T-shirts through Fund the Nations and God has begun to show how great he is with all the support I’ve already seen. If you are interested in buying a t-shirt message or email me!

Lastly and most importantly! I will be sending out my fundraising letters in the next week or so, if you are worried there is any chance one wont be sent to you or I don’t have your address and you would like to receive one please email me at [email protected]!

God bless!
