Today is thanksgiving and I am sitting in a little cafe in Kampot town reflecting on what I’m thankful for. Let me tell you the list is long. Last night my team had the opportunity to cook for our hosts WHOLE family and we got to dress up set the table and sit in community together as a family saying what we are thankful for and sharing really good food. The best part of it all is that we are able to be a family even though we are all so different from opposite sides of the world but we all have the same father, It’s incredible! This past week I got really sick and was in the hospital for a few days. through that time the lord opened my eyes to so many things that I had been taking for granted. He taught me so many things in my pain. And it was seriously all Jesus that I ended up in the hospital…the night before I went he told me “I am blessing you in the storm”! Who would have thought I would have to be in so much pain and in the hospital for a few days to just really realize how blessed I am to laugh and open my eyes Because While being sick I had stabbing pains in my stomach so to laugh was nearly impossible because it hurt so bad also had such a bad migraine that I could barley keep my eyes open for two days. Well now it’s been a little over a week since I first got sick and I am now completely back to full strength! I’m overcome and in awe of gods creation that he has blessed me with to look at everyday. Here are some more things that come to mind when I think of what I’m thankful for.
