Ruth is a women who lives at her shop down the road from where I live. She has 3 children and her husband recently left her. Her day consist of waking up at 3 am to prep food for the shop. She then works all day serving her costumers. Her mother comes each day to help take care of her children, the youngest a little boy who is 5 months old. Last week my team had the opportunity to go meet her.
This came about because part of our ministry here in Kampot is doing house visits each morning. So-pia one of our ministry hosts leads us in house visits because he has made a point to visit people at their homes first building a relationship with them and serving them and through that sharing Jesus. Ruth speaks only cami so when communicating we use a translator. The first time meeting Ruth we got to get to know her and pour insight into what the lord is doing in her. Communicating that the lord can free her from her depression that he can make her new. Later that day my team had the opportunity to take her to get her nails done and she also got her hair dyed because she felt like her heart was fresh that she was a new person and wanted to show people that. A few days ago Jesus spoke through me telling her about how he died for her sins and how she can live a life loving and serving him. A life where she is friends with him. And yesterday we got to take her a Bible and read through the creation story wit her. This is just the beginning of that the lord is doing in her heart And I couldn’t be more excited that the lord has asked me to come along for the ride.
