Why in the world would I sign myself up to go on a mission trip to Africa?
That’s a great question. One that I’ve asked myself several times. I’m going on this trip because God was telling me to. God placed this on my heart and I could not stop thinking about it no matter how hard I tried. On the same day that I found out about the trip, I knew that’s what I was going to do. The scary part was that I have never been out of the country before. So, the thought of going on a three month long mission trip to Africa was initially pretty scary to me. The fact of how much I wanted to go scared me too. I was full on ready to give up everything to leave on a mission trip to Africa. The “logic” part of my brain was saying, what about school, what about money, what about the people that I have here in Oklahoma? The reality is that God will protect and guide me wherever I go. If Africa is where God needs me, that’s where I’m heading.
