Hello my name is Cauy Reeder. I’m a senior at Strawberry Crest High School in Tampa Florida. I co-lead a 6th Grade boys small group on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings at Bay Life Church where I attend high school service and the regular Sunday morning services. I love to do anything outdoors whether it be in the woods, on the water, or in the back yard. I love to spend time with my friends, it doesn’t matter if we are just hanging out at someones house, at church, the mall or anywhere else. Currently I have two part time jobs, I work at a t-shirt printing shop and I am a cook at a restaurant called Jimmy Hulas.

I am going on the World Race because God called me into the mission field. I took a mission trip to Honduras this past summer and loved how you can worship and experience our Fathers love regardless of the language you speak or difference in cultures. One evening we climbed to the top of a hill at the orphanage we were staying.  We were over looking the city of Siguatepeque and had the most amazing worship. Once we were done singing I talked to my mentor Mr. Steve and told him I felt that God was calling me into missions. Mr. Steve was the leader of the Honduras trip and is also the missions pastor at my church. He told me about the World Race program and it sounded great but I knew my parents would never let me take a “gap year” after graduation so I dismissed the thought but filed it away in my head.  Crazy enough, 4 weeks after I got home, my mom asked me if I would be interested in a gap year program she heard about, and that was the moment I realized that my heart was in the right place and God is leading me and opening doors to start on my mission journey with this World Race.
