Life update:
It’s been a while since I’ve updated on what’s been happening on this side of the world.
So here are eleven things to update you:
- We just finished month seven of our eleven month journey. YOIKESSS!!! Where did time go?!!
- Last month for my team was Ask The Lord month. My team prayed into it and the Lord led us to Singapore. We got to stay with an awesome family from Australia!
- During my time in Singapore, I got connected with Younglife Singapore. It was a sweet touch of home. I got to gain relationships with the girls in the fellows program there and I got to help out with their Younglife fundraiser banquet.
- A few weeks ago, Heaven gained one of my favorite angels, Grandaddy. (My dads dad). Now he is completely healed plowing fields and fishin with Jesus. It has been super hard not being home with my family during this time, but I know the Lord has me on The World Race right now for a reason. So I would like to ask for continued prayers as my family is grieving this loss.
- While in Singapore, my team and I got to attend a For King and Country Concert. (They are a Christian duo group originally from Australia, but live in Nashville now). That was a sweet touch of home. And it was awesome to be gathered with hundreds of other people worshipping the same God across the world!
- I got to volunteer for the world championship Superleague triathlon in Singapore. I saw signs up for it all month, then one day I went and asked if I could volunteer. It was a super awesome experience getting to be so up close to famous athletes.
- 2 teammates and I were able to get a good deal on passes to universal. We were able to go many times during our weeks in Singapore. It was awesome how we were able to turn it into a ministry opportunity. We took small candies and handed them out to the workers and gave them a big smile when we were getting on the rides.
- My team and I made it to Thailand a few days ago! Yesterday two teammates and I went and explored Bangkok! We went on a hop on hop off boat tour to go explore the city. -one thing I have learned since being here- you need to triple check things with the language barrier.
- In ONE week get to see my parents in Thailand. I am so EXCITED to show them what it’s like to live this crazy life of mine in Southeast Asia. Traveling has become such a norm for me I’m excited to share it with mom and dad! They will love it.
- I will be posting blog updates about my time in Uganda, Kenya,Malaysia , and Singapore in the weeks to come!
- Enjoy a few photos below from this past month!
Blessings,
Catie Collins
