So at the time I am writing this, I have 14 days until Training Camp and 75 days until I launch for The World Race. WOW. I could not be more pumped to finally meet all the amazing people I will be doing life with for the next 11 months. I am feeling very excited, nervous, scared, pumped, and every emotion you can feel.
So you might ask, what is Training Camp? I will be spending 10 days in Gainsville, Georgia where I will be meeting my squad (the people going on the race with me). I will be learning more about Adventures in Missions, learning the ropes of The World Race, camping out and participating in a physical fitness test… stay tuned for how that will go.
This is starting to feel real and so crazy that I am doing this. I bought my main gear this week (sleeping bag, tent, backpack, etc.) I want to thank the sweet man at REI that helped me and answered all my millions of questions. I am home for the summer getting things together and preparing to be away for 11 months. These few months being home have been and continue to be really sweet. The Lord is doing a lot in my heart right now as He is preparing me to put my full faith in Him and stepping out into the unknown. It has been very comforting to read Deuteronomy 31:8 over and over again saying, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” I have found peace that even when I get scared I can rely on the truth that the Lord has already gone before me and will be right by my side during this whole journey.

Fundraising is going great! I am 55% funded. WHICH IS INCREDIBLE!!!! GO GOD. I have already reached my third deadline which I am very thankful for. My prayer is that I can be FULLY FUNDED when I launch in August. With that being said, the Lord is showing up in bigger ways than I could ever imagine. He is using so many people as the Body of Christ to come alongside me as I launch to this incredible journey. Through my story and telling people about The World Race, I have connected with all kinds of people, and I am so blessed for that.
First and foremost, I ask for your continuous prayers during this journey and I want to say THANK YOUto those who have supported me thus far!
