So I’m going on this fantastic 11-month trip around the world. There are several questions buzzing around your head, I’m sure. What will she be doing? Where will she be staying? When can I facetime her? All are valid questions, but I don’t really have the answer to many. I don’t know everything about this trip just yet. Here are the things I don’t quite know, and the things I do know.
The things I don’t know for sure:
- Where exactly I will be staying in each country.
- What exactly I will be doing in each country.
- Who exactly I will be helping.
- When exactly I will have wi-fi.
Here are the things I do know for sure:
- I will be going to Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malasia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
- I will be traveling with a squad (large group of us) of about 40-50, and will have a team of about 7 or 8. These people will be my family for the entirety of the Race, and probably after also.
- I will be working with a certain ministry in each country, doing something different in each country. (Could be working with kids, elderly, building houses, pulling weeds, etc.)
- It takes a team to get me over there, people for financial support, prayer support and just encouragement through this process as well as for when I’m on the other side of the world from my family and friends.
- I know God will be at work in every place I am in.
- I know God is a God of abundant provision and will provide for every need that will come my way.
- I know that I will be sharing the love that Christ has given me.
So that’s that main overview of what I may or may not be doing. I know it’s all very up-in-the-air, but I will know more as the trip gets closer. From here on out, I am going to update my blog every few weeks to spotlight one of the countries I’m going to, or to give an update on fundraising and whatnot. Thank you all for your support. =]
