My family of supporters rock!

I can’t even begin to say how grateful I am for all of my World Racer supporters. You know, “supporters” come in all different fashions. I’ve been lucky enough to sit back and watch people flourish by blessing me and this ministry with their own unique giftings. A dear friend of mine once wrote on her blog something that I never forgot. “…when you think your traits are insignificant on their own, remember that there may be someone out there that actually needs your special kind of charm.” This is SO true!

My dear friend bought paintable bobbleheads to give out to our close friends to remind them to pray for me while I’m gone! She was so sweet to do this!

I had a friend completely coordinate my garage sale, thinking and planning all the details I did not have the time for. Another friend felt led to buy me a pair of Teva sandals. Having zero experience with trail shoes, she was able to guide me through the process, visit countless stores with me and then finally just hand over her credit card so that we could order from Zappos.com! My best friend has offered to let me stay with her rent-free for a couple of months so that I could save up and afford to buy all my gear. Another friend purchased an iPod Shuffle so that we could raffle it off! Many of you have donated financially…generously if I may add! I have almost $3000 of the $14,300 that has to be raised! The list of stuff that my friends and family have done can go on and on! Thank you all SO much for your time, efforts, love, encouragement, sense of humor (yes, if I have to eat crickets in Mozambique next year I’ll be thinking of you all) financial support and most importantly your friendship. My cup is overflowing with blessings and it’s because of YOU.

“Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” Galatians 6:10

There is a thought that has kept running through my head these last few weeks. Generosity breeds generosity. We gain nothing by stocking up treasures for ourselves here on earth. If I had a big, fat bank account, a paid off house, a brand new car, the latest gadgets but had not loved and shared God’s blessings with my fellow man….I have nothing. I will have gained absolutely nothing in this life. All that we have is His anyways. Why not set your eyes to heaven and ask the Lord, “What can I do with this life to glorify You? Set my path to Your will Lord.”

What will you do with your life today?
