I was just thinking a couple of weeks ago how much I missed
working at Vacation Bible School at home.
It’s always been one of my favorite summer activities, but because of
work I haven’t been able to teach VBS in the last few years.  Our contact in India is a pastor of a
church.  And in India right now it is
summer vacation.  This church we’re
working at is having its first ever Vacation Bible School this week!! Man I was
so excited!  I’ve missed it so much.  It’s only for 2 hours a day but for 6 days
this week.  Granted it’s not quite like
VBS in the States because they don’t really have any fancy materials or lots of
classrooms decorated all up.  But they
still have kids eager to learn about Jesus; they still sing and dance; they
still learn stories from the Bible; they still play games; they still have
snack time; they still pray.  It’s all in
all the same thing just not as decorated.
I love to watch the kids dance and sing.
I love to see the joy on their faces whenever they’re playing a
game.  I love to hear them answer questions
about the Bible.  And I love to see them
on their knees praying to their Almighty Father.  I feel so blessed to get to work a VBS in
India of all places!!  Thank you Jesus!
