This past weekend was Easter weekend, and my team had the
opportunity to do something very special.
We travelled about 6 hours away to a small town named Rompin. We met up with a pastor there and went and
did some ministry in the surrounding villages.
While we were there we visited 4 villages and ran 2 church services. In every village and at every church service,
we preached, sang some songs, and prayed for people. Oh boy did we pray for people. I was astonished at how many people were
seeking prayer. I never realized how
exhausting prayer could be until this weekend.
It was four very intense days but it was really good. Preaching wasn’t the easiest thing for me,
but the Holy Spirit provided my words so I didn’t worry about it too much. It was crazy that we didn’t spend much time
in any of the villages or at the churches, but I felt an almost instant
connection with the people in every place.
They were so warm and welcoming and didn’t want us to leave. I
definitely could have spent a whole month doing that ministry. I already miss them especially all the
precious children. I couldn’t think of
a better Easter than to share the most amazing gift of a risen Savior with the commonly
forgotten people of Malaysia!
