First off I want to simply give a huge thank you to each and every individual who has supported me throughout these last few months! Whether it was through funds, advise, or prayer, words can not begin to express how blessed I am for you.
When I first decided to go on the race, I was a bit fearful when I realized how much I was going to have to fundraise. To be honest, I looked at that number and said, “ha, yeah, God you really think I’m going to be able to get that amount of money? You’re funny.” And sure enough, he was right! I prayed every night and said “Lord, if this is really my calling, I know the money will come. If this is not my calling, let them give to someone who is meant for this.”
My prayer is now answered.
I am now here is Atlanta for launch. This moment that I have imagined for 7 months has finally arrived. It came so incredibly fast, but the experience that I am about to recieve is all help to you.You all have supported me financially to have the ability to fufill this calling. It just makes me look back on this whole journey and appreciate ever second of it because it ultimately grew the kingdom. YOU ultimately grow Gods kingdom!!
In the beginning, I had trouble going out and asking for money. I didn’t want people to think that’s all I wanted from them. What I really wanted was for the people I went to to understand what I am doing and for this to potentially nudge into asking questions and simply think about how they can give back here at home.
One of by biggest things I have to say to everyone who had contributed to my trip is you have not only given me the opportunity to serve God in all nations but, YOU yourself are serving by supporting me. Mission trips unfortunately cannot fit into everyone’s schedules and missions are most definitely not the only way to serve. Most of us have jobs, school, families that we can’t leave for a long period of time. It’s not in all of our plans to put everything aside for 9 months to serve, but by helping me, you have contributed to lives being changed. You have contributed to children feeling genuine love. You have contributed to the growth of Gods kingdom. And with that I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!
