Here are some updates about what’s going been going on in my life lately:
1) God gave me confirmation! On Tuesday, we had a guest speaker at BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) who prophesied over everyone individually at the end of the meeting. Moments like this just show how well God knows me. This man (who doesn’t know anything about me) basically said that I am a faithful, voluntary servant of the Lord and have my mind on a mission, and I can ask God for great an amazing things, and He is going to let me do them. Whoa! How cool is God!?!? My mind is still blown.
2) As some of you may know, I work at McDonald’s three days a week this semester (which can be a lot on top of my full-time course load). I’ve been working there for just over two years, and tonight they started cross-training me so I can learn grill in addition to service! It figures I’d manage to burn my finger my first day learning this new position. It makes me reminisce back to my first day working at my other store… I burned my arm at the fry station. Apparently, I’m just accident prone lol.
3) Skating is going well! We have learned our program for the season and are practicing three days a week in order to improve to be able to skate it to the best of our ability once competition season hits! It’s hard to believe that this is my last year skating on this team that has become my family over the years, but I can’t wait to see what this season has in store!
4) I actually cooked/baked this week for once! Since I don’t really buy a lot of groceries, I often have to buy something on campus to eat if I don’t have anything prepared in advance on a Tuesday or Thursday (since I don’t really come home those days). When I got home from work on Wednesday, I baked some banana bread, cut up a cantaloupe, cooked some carrots, and cut up some peppers and onions and cooked those with some ground beef. I’m hoping to get some more “meal prep” done this weekend too!
5) I ended up skipping one class each on Tuesday and Thursday this week in order to mentally recover from the amount of stress I’ve been experiencing (I kid you not, I was so stressed/sleep deprived that a lot of my hair started falling out on Thursday). And I spent some of that time finishing up assignments. College has really taught me the importance of self-care, and that was a reality check that I need to start taking better care of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally.
6) God gave me a new place! So I like just walking and talking to God out loud, but it can be hard to do that on a campus with so many people who will look at me like I’m crazy for “talking to myself.” I usually do so by the lake (which is crowded this time of year) or in my room (which can be very distracting). But God showed me the perfect place where I can spend time with Him, and it’s awesome!

I still have about $18,525 left to raise! Every little bit helps! And, as always, please keep me in your prayers! 🙂
How you can help:
1) Adopt a Box and donate that amount (Box 6=$6, Box 40=$40, etc.) at catherinechoquette.theworldrace.org and if an entire column is adopted, I will do a crazy challenge and film it!
2) Order a T-shirt! They are $20 each, just let me know what size you need, and pay me whichever way is most convenient for you (cash, check, or Venmo). I need to sell 7 more to place the order.
3) Become a monthly donor! This is a quick, simple way to support me. Just choose an amount ($5/month, $20/month, $50/month, etc.) for however long you want the monthly donations to last (3 months, 6 months, 12 months, etc.) and it will automatically come into my trip fund each month!
What you can pray for right now:
-That I will get much-needed rest this weekend
-Peace of mind
-Finding a better balance for everything going on in my life
-Fundraising
Thank you all so much! If you have any questions for me you can comment them down below!
