Dear friends and family,
We are writing to share with you an exciting time in our lives. As we become one in marriage, we have talked in great detail about what we want to do. We both know that serving God is very important to us, and, combined with our love for travel, we’ve decided that a missions trip is the way to go.
After taking the time to pray to God about what He wants us to do, we came across Adventures in Missions and the World Race within 24 hours. We looked at each other in awe that God had led us to this perfect opportunity! The program offers a time of missionary and personal training before sending us out into the world for 11 months. Once out in the field, we’ll have the opportunity to build, evangelize, teach, and show the love of Christ to the world. It’s also a rare opportunity to remove ourselves from our comfort zones and grow in Christ. We’ve already been accepted into the program and we’re set to leave in early January 2009.
We are most excited about becoming ever closer to Christ as we learn more about Him and about ourselves on this trip. We also have the chance to build up a strong relationship between God and each other without the world pulling us down. It will be a challenge, but that’s the best part – the reward will be immeasurable. We can’t wait to break free of the common and leap into the unknown! Not only all that, but we also get the chance to love and evangelize a number of the people of this earth – whether they know yet that Jesus loves them or not!
The best part about this trip is that it touches each and every one of us. It is everyone’s goal to have a unified world under the love of Christ. In order to take part in this unique ministry, we need to raise over $28,000 to cover all the expenses on the trip. Although it seems daunting, just ten people pledging $140 for 10 months will get us half way there! Please pray for God to provide a means for this to happen!

We are excited to see how God will use us in this time and how we will grow in Him. We hope not only to be a blessing to those we serve, but also to you. Our desire is to go as your representatives of Jesus Christ. We hope you will prayerfully consider being part of our ministry. Thank you so much!
In Christ,
Noah and Cathy Zelvis
