Our entire
H squad of 52 Racers drove into San Juan, Dominican Republic for a week to get
an introduction to the Dominican people and culture. In addition, we were given some insights for
the coming days and months ahead. From
these insights came the following list of needs for a successful year of
ministry and also for life:
- Seek out the presence of God
- Have a willingness to change
- Maintain a good attitude
- Carry a limited amount of
emotional baggage - Traveling companions
For each of
the 5 items listed above, I would request that you please pray specifically as
follows…
Seek out
the presence of God
Please pray
that I constantly make a consious effort to hear the voice of God. Also, during times of prayer, please pray
that I would spend less time talking to God about all sorts of things and just
allow God to reveal what secific people or situations to pray over.
Willingness
to change
I know
without a doubt that I will have to be flexible throughout this year. My request is that while going through a change,
that my mouth would be in check and I would not grumble or complain.
Maintain a
good attitude
Especially
during those times of change, I need to maintain a positive attitude in heart
and mind. Please pray that I would
remember that my attitude at the beginning will determine the outcome at the
end.
Carry a
limited amount of emotional baggage
Please pray
that any ties with things back home that could hinder our team’s ministry are
removed.
Traveling
companions
To lessen
the burden, for lack of a better word, of the ministry, it helps to work in
teams or families. Please pray that our
team, Indelible, will meld into a family that works together to further His
kingdom and that supports one another during the high times and the not-so-high
times.
