Hi family and friends!
I hope this letter finds you and your family well! I am so excited to share with you about an opportunity that I have, as well as a little bit of my heart. I have always loved to travel, but since I have been in college, there has been a tug on my heart that I was not where God wanted me. I tried to ignore it and tell God it could wait until after I had finished my plans first, a.k.a college, but God has other plans for me right now. After a lot of sleepless nights, a lot a prayer, and a lot of encouragement from friends and family, I knew that God did not want me to wait any longer.
I will be leaving January of 2016 to attend the World Race through an organization called Adventures in Mission! The World Race is an 11 month mission trip through 11 different countries. Each month my team and I will have an opportunity to reach out to people across the world through teaching English, prayer walking, ministering to those taken into sex trafficking, building churches, loving on people and sharing the love of Christ with them. This program is also an intensive discipleship program, as well. He has given me an opportunity to serve the least of these, while deepening my faith in Him and learning how to truly rely on Him for everything and not just the things that I desire. Oh, and I will also be living out of a backpack for a year, so that’ll be fun too!
However, I cannot do this alone. In order to attend the World Race, I need to raise $16,562. This is a HUGE number, but this is where God has called me, and I am trusting Him. This is where I need your help, both financially and spiritually. This money covers my meals, lodging, air, land, and sea travel, administrative costs, coaching costs, debriefing costs, as well as training costs throughout the 11 months in the field. However, even though the finances are a huge part of this trip, so is prayer. As I take this step of faith in following the Lord, would you prayerfully consider partnering with me as the Lord leads? Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Due to IRS and ECFA regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations given in support of a particular trip/program, support contributions given on behalf of an individual will be used to offset the costs of the trip/program you are involved in. All contributions are non-refundable regardless of the participant’s success in completing the program.
