The church I work for has this annual mission week called Jerusalem Project. It gives our Middle School and High School students an amazing opportunity to serve our city–Memphis, TN. Last year during this week, I signed up for the early morning shower shift. Little did I know how much my request to God that morning would rock my world. I vividly remember sitting on a chair right in front of the trailer, listening to sounds of nature that surrounded me, watching the sun slowly creep through the clouds, and soaking up the Word to fuel me for that long day that awaited me. I journal what the Lord was revealing to me and I made my requests known to Him. I haven’t thought about that day . . .until recently. I searched my bookcase, and quickly found my journal from last summer. Heart pounding, I flipped through the pages until I found the journal entry that was written on that hot July morning.

One of the pages read, “It is sweet time for me to study the Word early in the morning before the kids wake up and soak in God’s goodness through nature. What has God been teaching me these past few months? Faith, trust, and obedience. So of course my quiet time would talk about faith. God is just funny like that. Haha. “And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.” – Matthew 13:58 God, I want you to show up. I want you to do BIG, mighty, powerful miracles in my life. I want to have faith that can move mountains. I don’t want you to withhold, because I lack faith. I want my life to be an adventure.”

Well. God is still in the business of answering prayers in case anyone was wondering. Exactly a year after I wrote this, I will be in training camp for World Race. No girls came to my shower trailer during my early morning shift that morning, which was unusual. Looking back, I realize why. I needed that sweet alone time with the Lord that morning and He needed me to be still and listen. I am still learning about faith, trust, and obedience. I tell my girls all the time, “When you walk by faith, you go on the biggest adventure of your life.”

Preparing for the World Race is stretching my faith like I have never experienced before. Please continue to pray for me as I cling to Christ and walk by faith.

Prayer points will be posted soon! If you feel led to donate, you can click on the “Support Me” link. I have to raise $3,500 in one month.

Much love,

C.Lee
