Lots of information to share, not much space to share it in,
so let’s get down to it, shall we?

Komboa: A Brief Introduction

I know I told you very quickly in my last blog that there
was some switching around of teams, and I (and Lauren) were moved to team
Komboa. Here’s a really quick introduction…

Komboa:
Swahili for freedom.

Team Members: Cat (me), Glenalyn, Leyna, Megan, Lauren, Noe (pronounced No-ee, not
No-ay), and David

I’ll share more about the team in a future blog. For now,
you can go to theirs and find out more about them that way!

Ministry Update

Team Komboa will be teaming up with 317 and Trumpets of One
and hopping on the bus for a ten hour bus ride to Wellington
(the southernmost city on New Zealand’s
north island) tomorrow morning to spend the next three weeks working at a
Christian summer camp. Week one, it looks like we’ll be camp counselors. Week
two we’ll be helping get ready for a huge camp week three, and possibly going
into Wellington and doing some
street ministry there. Week three, we’ll be serving the camp as it hosts a
group of nearly 1,000 people.

At least, that is what I understand it to be looking like
right now – just remember (like I will be needing to remind myself) that everything is subject to change.

Race Route Change:

Speaking of subject to change, our route has changed ever so
slightly. Because AIM has had so much trouble finding ministry contacts in Malaysia
for all twenty-plus teams on M & N squads, we’ll be spending the month of
March in The Philippines instead. Some of us are pretty excited about the
change, and others are working their way up to it. No matter what happens,
though, God’s hand is in this, and I trust that things will work out exactly
the way He wants them to.

Lastly…

Lastly, I leave you with a couple of pictures from our
adventures at the Bay of Plenty
in Tauranga our second day here. Enjoy!
