So I guess my last blog wasn’t the last blog before training camp. Gotta love free wireless at the airport. Also direct flights – even if you have to be at the airport super early to catch them. Yeah, it’s almost 5AM, and my flight doesn’t take off for another hour… but who’s counting?

I suppose last night would have been a good time to mention the sign-ups for prayer while I’m in Georgia, but I forgot. I also forgot hair ties in my packing… Since that’s the worst (and only) offender on the list, though, I think I’m in good shape. Anyway, the link:

Today and Wednesday through Sunday of next week are all still without a person covering! If there is anything I have learned from even short stints into the mission field, it is that prayer coverage is essential. I need my family back home backing me up. It’s even more important now because I (and everyone on both Jan 2010 squads, for that matter) have made such a conscious step away from complacency and into action. Not only that, but we’re getting ready to abandon everything this world holds dear, to open up the places in our hearts where we never let anyone dare go before because we’re desperate for healing… which, quite frankly, has a tendency to tick the devil off something fierce.

If you are able, please take a day.

This really will be my last blog before training camp, by the way. I don’t know if I’ll have a chance to blog much from camp, so I’ll just settle for saying – See you when I get back!
