World Racers and a World
Race alumnus piled into two cans and a car and drove to downtown Manila
for the big event – Race Day. Along with over 8,000 others, we ran. Most of us
defeated the 5K, while others conquered the 10K, and still more demolished the
half-marathon. All in all, it was an exhausting but worthwhile start to the
week.

finish the 5K, I was definitely at the back end. But I bring it up with a
smile, because as I was running those last hundred meters, all I could process
was that I’d done it. That is until all those who had finished before me
started whistling and cheering. No one else was worried about my time or my
place – my squad was excited because I had finished what I started. Just like I
was excited.
finish line? Yeah.
