Well…
After months of watching and waiting to see what Thailand
was going to look like (in the ministry sense), I can sit here at my computer
and officially say it looks nothing like what I expected.
The ladies of M Squad have been split up into three separate
groups… and just one will be involved in bar ministry.

That group is not my group.
The ladies of Post Office, along with the ladies of team
Current (Amy, Kathryn, Katie, Kristi, and Lindsey) will be traveling this afternoon
to the town of Chanteburi and working with a local Methodist church.
What exactly is that going to look like?
We won’t know until we get there. Possibilities do include
ministry in a leper colony, hospital visits to pray, coaching soccer, and
prison ministry.

And this whole human trafficking issue that’s been so much
on my heart the last couple of years isn’t likely to go away.
Chanteburi is near the border with Cambodia,
and near one of the major points of trafficking across the border.
It isn’t what we thought it would look like… but bringing
hope and teaching skills are two powerful weapons in the fight against it.
And if we can be a part of keeping people out of it before
they get pulled in – so much the better.
