Well, maybe it isn’t quite as epic as me getting cerebral malaria, but it ranks.
You see – five of my squad mates each have about $2,000 that needs to be raised in the next 11 or 12 days (at the end of this month), or else they’re going on the next flight home to America.
And yes, I am asking for your help to keep them here.

I’ll introduce you to them in a minute or two, but before I do, let me say this –
I and my entire squad are not just content to leave it at sitting down at our computers and writing persuasive blogs on their behalves.
We’re putting our money where our mouths are – quite literally – because each of us has committed to praying for our friends, and we’ve each chosen to give out of the little we have left in our bank accounts to make sure they stay with us.
I believe in the ministry of each person I’m about to introduce you to because I have seen what they bring to the table.
God has brought each one of them on this Race with me for a reason, and I have no doubt God wants each of them to finish what they’ve started.

My team had the opportunity in Tanzania, and has the opportunity again here in Romania, to work with David and his team.
He has an incredible passion for worship and just seeking after the Lord for what He has in store, and the Lord has grown him in amazing ways from the person I met at training camp almost a year ago.
Hannah isn’t one of my teammates, but I count her as one of a number of genuine friends I’ve made on the Race this year.
I can always count on her to have genuine, interested questions about how ministry has been since the last time we saw each other, what God is teaching me, and other questions about what is going on in my life back home.
Her heart is soft, genuine, and real, and her teammates say she’s the one the children always flock to when it’s time to go out and minister.
Jonathan is a former teammate, and I have the privilege of working with him and seeing him grow in Cambodia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
I’ve seen his boldness and confidence in what God has to say through him grow like crazy in Africa, as well as his ability to step up as a leader.
The Lord still has incredible things in store for him here in Romania, and in the next two months to come.

You might remember Kristi from my month in Thailand as a member of Again For The First Time.
Kristi has an incredible servant’s heart (if you want to serve – or serve her – you really do have to act on it as soon as you think about it, or else she’ll beat you to the punch!).
I loved getting to know her and working with her on the Mother’s Day video we made, and I desperately want to see her finish this Race.

I remember meeting Nate at training camp, and just how intentional he was about taking time to get to know me (and others on the squad) during that time.
On the Race, I’ve seen him step up again and again with boldness to share whatever the Lord has to say through him.
He’s not afraid to call out what people are struggling with, and a great encourager along with it.

These are just five of the people who have been a part of this journey I’ve walked through on The World Race. My race would not be the same without any of them. If you are able to help support them in any way, just visit their blogs!
