Currently, I am in India. It is insanely hot, constantly feeling gross and tired and ready to jump into a huge swimming pool with a nice ice cream stand (or iced coffee) right beside. BUT neither of those are here, and I am still so happy and grateful to be here. I am here loving on kiddos I have known for over two years now, and enjoying all these moments with them while I can. Excited to go on the race, excited to meet new children from other parts of India, excited to meet children from ALL over this amazing world that is so big yet so small! God has been working on my heart so much in just this short time here…preparing me for what’s to come no doubt! Experiencing discomfort and struggles that are so temporary and have just drawn me more and more closer to Him and praising Him for being alive and in good health.
Smiling at strangers everyday, children who just receive the smile like it has lifted them a few feet off the ground. The feeling is mutual.
The world is fading – oh so temporary. Eternal life is beyond the grave. Maturity in Christ, eating the solid food of His Word, will bring restoration and growth.
This short time trip puts the hunger in me all the more to GO and love on the beautiful people around the world, serving in ALL ways out of my comfort for their ears and hearts to HEAR and KNOW the Name of Jesus Christ!!!!!
