It’s here! Today I’m sitting in my hotel room outside the Atlanta Airport waiting to leave for our first stop: Indonesia.
Logistically, this is what I know so far:
My team will be on the island of Bali with an English speaking church (C3 Church) that primarily works with tourists.
We fly out tomorrow morning at 10:06 and will arrive in Bali on Thursday, after a couple layovers and a hostel sleep.
Tonight we’re doing all the last things. Last laundry, last American meals, last fast internet service, last hotel sleeps.
It’s a weird mix of emotions leaving the things you love. I’ve been taking steps into this calling one day at a time and I feel ready to go. Ready to do something. Ready to do what I say I’m going to do.
Still, it’s hard to leave your people and the things that feel like home. I’m incredibly grateful to be with the people that make up my squad and team.
My squad is made up of 33 people that will travel country to country together. We are then split into teams of six. My team, Love Storm, is made up of Logan, Alyssa, Greg, Maggie and Elizabeth.
If you follow me on social media, you know that Elizabeth was $2,000 short of her fundraising goal on Wednesday and by the grace of the Lord, raised $2,000 to launch with us!
I’m so honored you’ve been following along, praying and supporting me and my teammates.
I’m still short roughly $2,000 to be fully funded for the year ahead. Would you consider partnering with me? This year, I want to be someone thats not afraid to ask big questions – even if I would typically shrink away at the thought.
Please pray for: protection, unity as a squad and team, openness and a willingness to step into unchartered places, that we become a team that says “yes!”, that we’re a people that serves our hosts well, that we do what we say we will.
Thanks again for all your support and prayers!
