We spent month 6 (June) in Thailand. We were in the Chiang Mai area. Since it was Manistry month, where all the boys on the squad spend the month together doing ministry, my team was all girls. We were places with the ministry Remember Nhu. Remember Nhu is a prevention ministry that takes children who are at high risk of being sold into the sex trade and puts them in homes to be protected. While they are at homes doing the school year they attend classes and do chores. Their are several girl and boy homes. We also were privileged to do manual labor. We got to pull weeds, build garden fencing, use machetes to chop down a path around the property so someday the kids can use it to walk or bike on it.
Thailand is such a beautiful place and it was amazing to be there. God showed me a whole new side to the sex trade and how terrible it is. It was a growing and stretching experience.
