At the end of month one our squad got to experience our first debrief. The squad stayed at Old Vic Travelers Inn in Nelspruit, South Africa. It was so beautiful there. We had beds with mattresses, WiFi, running water, a pool, and lots of people who spoke English. Some of the squad used personal money to go to the African Cup soccer match between Ghana and Burkina Faso! It was such an amazing night and there were lots of new soccer fans after the game. Some of the squad was able to use personal money to go on the safari in Kruger National Park. We saw lions, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, and zebras. The safari was nothing I expected and I loved every minute of it.
