Yesterday, I talked to Abel for awhile outside during the softball game. He told me more stories about his life and asked about mine. I began telling him about my life and some mistakes I have made. He could tell I was getting upset and began to encourage me saying that we all make mistakes, but we can learn from them and become stronger and help others through their struggles. He is so right.

I began asking him about scars he has on his face and arms and he told me numerous stories of hurt and pain in his life. We all have stories and we all have scars (physical or emotional) that we can tell others about to help them learn from our mistakes so that they don’t have to experience the same pain that we did.

[Don’t be afraid to show them your beautiful scars]
