Let’s see…where to start.  I’m from Indiana–that’s where my family lives, but I moved to Colorado three years ago when I transferred to Colorado Christian University.  I just “graduated” in May, but I have two classes to finish up this summer before leaving for World Race in October.  I absolutely love it out here!!  I have met the most incredible friends and people out here who have taken me in as part of their family and it has been such a blessing!!
I’m going to backtrack for a minute…I grew up in a Christian home and went to church with my family every Sunday, but my faith was never really became REAL to me until about four years ago.  In high school and my first year of college, I constantly gave into worldly desires and always ended up feeling even more empty.  The summer after my freshman year of college, I went on a retreat called Best 8 Days which brought me out to the mountains of Colorado with 25 other college students.  That was my first significant step of faith.  I normally did not go anywhere or do anything unless I was going with someone I knew; but I really felt like I was supposed to go on this retreat, so I went not knowing anyone!  It was amazing!  I learned so much and God really started to grab ahold of me that week.  I ended up getting baptized in the mountains and made the commitment to start living for the Lord.  During that next year, God really began to rock my world–I decided to change my major and transfer to CCU, moving me halfway across the country from my family.  Little did I know that was only the beginning of His plans for my life…
I could go on forever about all that God has done in my life these past three years, but it would literally be a novel.  I hope this gives you a little insight into my life.
