–Clothes for the whole time (1 semi casual outfit)…mostly outdoor activities. AIM dress code
applies. Some may be ruined by our pretty Red Georgia Dirt… FYI. Semi casual would be nice
jeans and a nice shirt.–Check
–Shoes… we recommend bringing the shoes you think you want to wear on the Race. This could
include flip flops (For the shower), Chacos or Tevas (for a rugged sandal), and an athletic shoe
(for more active wear or when you need closed-toed shoes). Keep in mind that our Red Georgia
Dirt will not leave anything white!–No white shoes! Got it! I don’t have “rugged sandals” though.
–Water bottle–Check
–Plate and cutlery. Mug if you want hot drinks.–This may be an issue.
–Mess Kit for cooking on fires! If you don’t know what a mess kit is, check out
http://www.rei.com/product/765751.–Cooking on fires! Definitely need this, don’t have one.
–Towel and shower stuff – outdoor, cold showers only–Oh good! I have towels and shower stuff!
–Basic First Aid kit including Mosquito Spray, medicine for stomach issues, headaches, allergies
including seasonal, bug bites, or nature-caused, band-aids, anti-bacterial wipes and ointment,
sunscreen, and aloe vera.–This stuff seems to be easy enough to find!
–Headlamp to make your way through the Darkness–For those of you who don’t know me very well, I am a klutz by most, if not all, accounts! This is going to be necessary to minimize my klutzy inclinations in the dark.
–Bible, Journal, and Pens–Check! Check! and Check!
