I have come to know and understand that my
life is not about me, it’s about pointing to Jesus. I have decided to live this out with
everything I’ve got, no matter what the cost.
This has led me through many different experiences and taught me to
trust God in every way. He never ceases
to surprise me and amaze me with His love, faithfulness, and gentle
discipline. I am so grateful to be
serving such a Holy God!

which was one of the most incredible and difficult experiences I have ever been
privileged to be a part of. I am so
grateful for this experience, for the people I met and grew to love, and for
the lessons I learned from my God. The
three biggest things I took away from this trip were: God is ALWAYS faithful. God is so much BIGGER than anything we will
ever face or battle. And, finally, that
my life is not going to be normal as I continue to seek and serve the Lord.
Even before going to Haiti, I
knew things were going to change soon as I was already accepted into The World
Race with Adventures in Missions and scheduled to embark on a mission unlike
any other in January 2011. As I keep
walking forward to this 11 country, 11 month mission of serving God in a
variety of ways and pointing to Him wherever I go, it continues to be confirmed
that YES! God is in this.
In preparing for this incredible
opportunity, I have learned something valuable.
I have found that I have a tendency to try to do everything on my own
and asking for help has been viewed as a weakness. These two things have caused an enormous
amount of stress for me in the past, but there is good news: I am not alone and that is part of the beauty
of being a child of the King! I am surrounded
by the Body of Christ and have a real, deep relationship with the God of the
universe. That is such an amazing and
inexpressible blessing.
My dear friends and family, if
you are wondering what you can do or how you can help, I would ask you to do
one thing: PRAY! Pray that God would be glorified above all
else. Pray that He would provide for
every need. And pray that I would
continue pointing to Him no matter what.
If, after praying, you feel led
to simply pray for me as I go, I am in need of fierce prayer warriors fighting
for me. If you feel led to give
financially, please click on “Join me…” If you feel led
to assist me in preparing for this mission, please contact click on “I’d love to hear from you…”
