Some lessons are easier learned than others.  Sometimes we hear God’s voice clearly the first time He says something to us.  Sometimes He shows us in real ways how He has already provided for us.

This week and actually the past several weeks, I have been overwhelmed with all the things on the “to do” list in the hour, day, week, month that needs to be accomplished.  Being headstrong, I kept marching forward checking off things as I could, but didn’t know how on earth I was going to get things done.  Little did I know that God was going to reveal Himself to me through that.  The lesson learned is:  I am not alone.  I am not designed to be alone.  Now, if you have ever felt like you have just been facing so many things on your own and didn’t ask for help because you didn’t want to be a bother, let me tell you, God created us to be in relationship with other people.  This means that we bear each others burdens, we rejoice with those who rejoice, and comfort each other.  We are the Church.  So, how did God reveal this to me?  Simple.  By reminding me that He is with me FIRST.

Reading “Come Away My Beloved” by Frances J Roberts this morning  was a HUGE reminder and blessing.  Here’s what it said in the middle of the devotional:  “I will not leave thee for a moment.  I will keep thee from despair:  I will deliver thee from confusion.  When thou art perplexed, I will guide thee in wisdom and in judgment.”  This is truly the God I serve and love.  He will not leave me for a moment.  What a great promise!

Leading up to and following that moment, the Body of Christ has surrounded me in amazing ways!  At work, at church, and among friends!  I am so grateful that God will not ever leave me, but He created us to be relational people and He has provided little ways of revealing the Church to me this week!

Basically, God continues to AMAZE me.  In the big things and the small things, He is faithful and good!
