What a day looks like in Uganda…
6 am— Workout (every other day for the most part)
7 am— half bucket shower (because of the water this usually happens every three days. the longest has been not washing my hair for four days. but we've been using lots of baby wipes!)
7ish am- 8:30ish am— quiet time
8ish am- 9ish am— breakfast (Most mornings we have toast with peanut butter or jam and bananas. we always have tea with a choice of hot milk or hot water. some of the different foods have been fried dough, samosas (fried dough filled with peas and potatoes), fried plantains (finally katie!) hard boiled eggs or scrambled eggs)
9:30ish am- 10:30ish am— Leave for door to door ministry (we walk everywhere we go this month, we walk to many different areas and either go to homes or just walk up to people at their stores and talk to them, get to know them and share the gospel)
1ish pm- 1:30ish pm— come home from door to door ministry and have lunch (we eat a lot of rice and chapati (sort of like a tortilla but thicker) and beans. we have pineapple and sometimes fried sweet potatoes and regular potatoes)
2:30ish pm- 4:30ish pm— Break/rest time (sometimes we nap or spend time with the Lord, watch a movie or play with the kidsat the house or prepare for a sermon)
4:30ish pm- 5:30ish pm— Leave for night church (most nights we do the whole service for the church, so someone will share a testimony, someone will preach and then Andrew plays his guitar and we all sing praise songs)
7ish pm- 8ish pm— Leave church/head back to the house
8ish pm- 9ish pm— Dinner time (we have a lot of rice and chapati and beans 🙂 usualy we eat the same thing we had for lunch with pasta noodles as well, and maybe a different bean)
