Am I forgetting something?
In a few hours can you imagine your whole view on things turn completely around…
What you thought it should be..
How you thought it could be…
The way you feel it should be…
Then suddenly whatever you thought “it” was is completely shaken from underneath you…
Like standing on a carpet and it being pulled from under you… and you find yourself again back on the floor scratching your head…

But we had a chance to sit down with them and they told us about their ministry and the conversation we had with them could have possibly just change my life.. Seriously!
This couple from the Netherlands Peit and Pita literally dedicated their lives to the Lord and serving Him 24/7 there lives are nonstop, day and night.
They came to Uganda 15 years ago to do mission work, throughout these 15 years God has blessed them so much its unbelievable. The ministry that they run as of right now God has been so faithful to them, they run a children’s home but it’s so different from all others. The children that come in there were basically thrown away and left for dead, abandoned.
“Peit and pita are giving their heart and soul in helping the underprivileged children in Uganda. They are the Father and Mother of many abandoned children, mistreated toddlers, orphans and babies which have been dropped at their door. Each child has its own story.”
These 2 are going nonstop taking in children left and right simply because they are not wanted, children who don’t have a choice whether to live or die. She told us that just the other week she had a baby die in her arms because it had been starved and couldn’t even keep a little milk down.
Not only are they taking all these children in, but teaching them things they would have never learned otherwise in the African school system. In Uganda you earn your status either by being a doctor or lawyer, kids go to school for hours a day constantly reading or memorizing, and after school studying for countless hours basically overloading themselves, and if you can’t reach those goals or don’t pass the school system the first time, then to bad.
It was amazing to see all the kids there, they have taken over 100 kids and are all still living there since the first day they were taken in.
Their vision for the home is to take in the children, give them a good education, and teach them things they wouldn’t learn like a Fathers love for them, the family lifestyle. Most African children who grow up are raise by the single moms, most of the time there is no Father figure in their lives. Like the other day in a school someone asked how many of you have fathers and out of at least 40 students 3 raised their hand. They teach these kids right from preschool till they are finished, after they feel like they are ready to go out into the world they want them to take the things they learned to help better Uganda, to be the change that Uganda needs, not to live by the African standard but to use their minds to be creative in the community and have a different minds set.
It cool to because none of the children have left there after 15 years and are still there today learning, it’s just simply amazing.
